I washed two jumpers yesterday.

Despite the attentions of the Miele tumble drier, they were still wet this morning.

I suppose they should be dry-ish by this evening.

When I had the additional space in the Strangelove parents' abode, I could use the clothes horse and the dehumidifier.

With the current things piled on top of other things arrangements, it ain't quite so easy.

The jumpers were still damp yesterday evening.

They appeared to be dryish this morning.

The backup el cheapo washing machine is, hopefully, doing the cottons as I type.

It's 25 minutes slower than the Miele on paper, but 3 fecking weeks faster in practice.

It'll be busy as feck in B&Q, Screwfix, Toolstation, Machine Mart etc. enabling gentlemen to escape this.

It strikes me ever more frequently, as the seemingly unending tedium of this tuliphole gets worse & worse, that I'll really regret all this wasted time when I'm on my deathbed.

Tomorrow's a double whammy: royal wedding at lunchtime, then the FA Cup final in the afternoon. So the men may escape briefly, but only to Asda to load up the van with Union-Jack-emblazoned cases of 24 Carling Black Label, probably without their shirts on given the weather
