Started off a bit iffy today, but nice and sunny now.
Today I will make some burgers for later on and also to go in the freezer. Also got some brisket which might be brined for a week, to make corned beef or might end up becoming a pot roast today.
Made pot roast with yorkshire puds, fresh horseradish sauce and roasted carrots NOM!

Also made pesto with the last of this years basil.
Went foraging for 'shrooms, but none of the non poisonous variety to be found. Got lots of hazelnuts though. Was Hoping to get some blackberries, again none to be found.

Pot au Feu can be any meat really, all just variations on the theme. Use a chicken and it become Poulet au Pot etc but cooked exactly the same way (at least according to Raymond Blanc, it was his recipe.)
