    Morning all
The rain has gone and the sun is shining. Busy day today. Max needs a walk, my photography student will be here later (lots of baby birds in the garden), sister-in-law round this afternoon, and that’s without a list of jobs that need doing.
…Maybe we ain’t that young anymore

      Morning.

      Sunday judging by the wireless.

      Dry.

      Sunny.

      Blue sky.

Chilly in here at 16.8 deg, 18 in the kitchen, 15 in the leanto, 12 in the saltinghouse.

1013 mBar, 29.91 in Hg, 759.8 Torr, 14.69 psi, (up from 1007 last night), 69% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 22nd of January 2020 BR14 popped in, LM was watching the Doctor Who Xmas special, xogg had a strange email offering the chance to sell Threaded.com, and I was watching Indiana Jones & the Temple of doom wondering whether I'd ever get around to watching the 4th one (I did watch it eventually).

      Washing frenzy in progress.

      Lunch: brunch.

That requiring the iRon has received its attentions & now airs upstairs.

The Infinite Monkey Cage S30 Alien Life at Glastonberry. One of the guests was particularly irritating in the not shutting the feck up category.

The Infinite Monkey Cage S31 The Cyber Codebreakers: recorded at Bletchley Park as is only rite and proper like.

Gone very grey here, so looking quite threatening.

      Washing frenzy complete.

Minor potching in the garage looking at yesterday's efforts which seem reasonable enough.

Watched about 20 minutes of some UFO nonsense on Blaze.

      Tea: beans on toast etc.

Entertainment: something on R4. Followed by Poetry crap <click>.

      BTCC on ITV4+1.

"The Man who shot Liberty Vallance (1962)". With Duke Wayne, Jimmy Stewart, Lee Marvin at his evil best. .

In the reviews of the above I found yet another chap who gave 1* reviews to 41 out of 43 films: the two he liked were "Doctor Jekyll & Mr Hyde (1931)" and "High Noon (1952)". In every other film the cast is Too Old. .

Remarkable enough for me to remark on it. .

Book. Other book. Not sure I can face the nearly 100 pages of "The man who sold the moon". . (It did take a while to get through it).

        Morning denizens

I awoke today at what was probably a "reasonable" time, though I didn't bother to check what time it was, instead deciding that a little more sleep would be nice. I suspect I probably slept another two hours or so, and feel better for it

It's a grey and rather windy day again, so the present 13°C "feels like" 8°. We're supposed to get 16° later and some gaps in the cloud around teatime. The barometers have bounced back to 1005/1012mB

Dunno if to bother with volunteer thing today, they are going round nature reserve taking pics of insects etc. Prefer summit a bit more physical.

Getting nowhere with trying to get my website on Google and Bing. Used to be ok but just disappeared. Done all the things I'm supposed to do.

We've now got Magpie School in session down on the lawn, with the two adults and two juveniles in a close huddle while one of the former apparently demonstrated the fine art of pecking at whatever it is they peck at in the grass

Do the Google Search Tools (formerly the Webmaster Console or something like that) suggest anything? I just checked my site in there and realised it was no longer indexed. On closer inspection, it seems to be because I moved it to HTTPS and the original configuration in there from years ago specifies HTTP.

So I had to add and verify the domain again (couldn't find a way to edit the existing settings), and this time it shows up as just the domain (without http or https, or www) with "Domain property" under the name in the navigation. It'll take a day or so to reindex, apparently

I can still see pages from the site in search results if I use the "site:example.com" trick so it hasn't completely vanished, I just don't see it in the Google tools.

                afternoon all
FB informs me that it's ten years since King Billy* bought me a beer in my local cafe.
quite a coup for a lapsed Catholic weegie.

                  FIVE magpies!

Looks like they've got three young ones this year, as they're all hanging out together between the flowerbed and the hedge

Cheers Fizzy Knickers. Trying to check that, can't make any sense of instructions on domain configuration.Assumed this was not problem as site is listed as https in console. It should not have a https suffix??

The site is on Google, all pages come up if I add the site name, just search for meaningful terms brings nowt up. Can't see that other sites have better file names/titles/meta/text etc than mine.

Sounds like the console is working then. Not sure what it might be other than Google and Bing being dicks?
