I quite like porridge but I have to be in the mood for it. A squirt of honey is needed though, I'm not made of the right stuff to have it boiled with salt.

The honey proved to be my downfall! The porridge was bearable, though I don't think I'd want it every day. But I put too much honey in, which made it so sickly sweet that I couldn't finish it

I'll try it again some time though

How much did you put in it!

I probably put about a teaspoon in mine.

I do cheat and buy the Quaker oats sachets as it's really easy to get the milk/oats ratio right. A bazillion times more expensive but much less waste (flapjacks are too sweet and I don't make fruit crumble puddings all that often).

I just squirted it in; no idea how much it was really

Today's the day for breaking of the Lenten fast. I seem to have forgotten to do the fasting, but I've got the last bit right as lunch has been a nice big fry-up

                  1 oats:1 milk: 1 water: 2 tsps salt = Perfecto.

Oh, and as is only right on a Sunday, this was accompanied by Time Team

It was quite a good one. Rather than traipsing around fields as usual, they dug up a woman's living room floor to see if King Cnut's hall was underneath it (it was)

Dropped in at village club after me walky and nobody there apart from the bar lady. Must be doing boring Eastery family things.
