Still fairly cloudy out but the sun's getting through. And I believe the blackbird couple from the hedge have raised a second brood; there seem to be some more young ones bimbling about on the lawn!

And later, I read another chunk of The Corner That Held Them. The Black Death has caused a lot of problems for the nuns and the residents of the Fenland countryside, but also led to some good things - though not everything is as it seems. Anyway, some progress has been made, over the course of a decade or so, on adding a steeple to the convent chapel; so that's nice

Sunny start, with some clumps of cloud hither and yon. It's already 19°C but only getting up to 24° today; tomorrow's expected high has been reduced to 17° and the chance of rain is up to 85%, so roll on Tuesday! Back here on Monday, the barometers are down some more at 999/1006mB

We have clouds! No rain, but at least it means it wasn't too hot on our walk. Max is still fairly tired after a weekend of no daytime naps and lots of swimming.
