Overcast and damp from this morning's rain. More rain forecast but none happening right this minute. Currently 18 degrees with a high of 21 expected. Barometer down to 999 mBar.

Off to see Mum today. She thinks her shower is blocked so that'll be a nice job to sort out.

Trip to the tip been done, then waiting for the orange DIY shop to open to get a couple of water butts (If I’d had them yesterday they would have been full this morning)
Breakfast just had, now time to walk Max.

There's just been a spell of heavy rain, but it's stopped now. There'll probably be more later though.

The estate agent I saw outside with a camera the other day has finally put up a listing. It's the flat one floor down and across the landing

Looking at the photos, I realised that although it's decently furnished, there's no trace of individuality: no ornaments, pictures, books, or anything at all you might expect to see in somebody's home. So I think perhaps it's one of the few flats that were still being rented out, and the tenant has departed leaving the owner with no option but to sell up (assuming they don't want to live there). I'm not even sure who was living there; I've worked out who's in the other flats in this half of the block, but not that one

The shower wasn't blocked but I did give the hair trap a good cleaning to help things along their way.

It's turned into a nice afternoon, after the grey start and rain on the drive south.

Music thing at Scientology place was ok, not that fantastic. ll2 is a pain in the ***, dunno how someone can go downhill so quickly.

The storm, such as it was, passed quickly. Still a lot of cloud out there but the sun's been breaking through a bit as well

One side of the summerhouse now has guttering on it and a water butt. Hose from the butt can direct water into the pond.

Tonight's viewing was the latest episode of 24 Hours in Police Custody about a county lines drugs gang

Annoyingly, rather than just blur the faces of the juveniles involved, they used "AI" to alter them. It looked crap. I hope they aren't going to make a habit of this

And in The Corner That Held Them, the nuns' decision to spend a couple of years sewing an ornate tapestry altar cloth as a gift for the new bishop has had the most peculiar consequences

Monday again tomorrow. Two more weeks; eight more days…
