Meanwhile on the 10th of January 2020 NF was going shopping until he discovered the battery was flat in the car and had to call NotTheAAbutGreenFlag to come & rescue him, whereas Brillo detailed the cause of his debility, WTFH had assembled the chicken house (for up to 12 birds) but had not fitted the autoclosing/opening door as yet.
Walk (unabbreviated) walked in the sunshine.
Pollen count seems higher.
Well there's a thing: dead fox cub on the lawn: just as well I wasn't mowing it then.
Lunch: brunch.
Entertainment: some tosh about someone called Jarvis Cockup on R4, whoever the feck he is: obviously channelling Pink at one point having holed up in a hotel room for 3 weeks: I wonder if he threw the telly out of the window in approved fashion and shaved all his hair off.
The Unbelievable Truth: who knew pine cones were called pineapples back in the day?
Cleaning more of the front room office cum junk room: done under the corner desk, done under the desk next to it. Even managed to move the Murphy B40 radio receiver (weight: 114lbs) and clean behind the desk.
Now sitting down for a cup of mediocre coffee before returning to the fray shortly.
Entertainment: thing about James Bond.
More shifting of stuff to vacc underneath.
Knackered now.
Tea: beans on toast plus a couple of boiled eggs. Nice enough.
Entertainment: Robin Ince waffling on about Black Holes.
The Sign of Four. Jeremy Brett, Edward Hardwicke, John Thaw (around the time he became Morse).
Read book about Thorpe. Illuminating.
Bits of some tosh about the paranormal.
Bits of "Terminator (1984)" especially the closing bit with the Jeep and the alsation and the photograph.
Bits of "Unforgiven (1992)". Especially the bit where he kills everyone.
Another grey but mild day, which in theory should get a little sunnier as it progresses. It's 8°C for now, but aiming for 15°; the barometers are again down just one notch at 997/1005mB
Although I'm generally averse to culinary experimentation so early in the morning, today I've embarked on the ambitious project of having porridge for breakfast. I've always been vaguely averse to the idea as I don't like milk that much and it has to be fairly milky to be palatable (unless you make it with only water, but then you're just eating boiled oats). But I realised the other day that I could make it with oat milk instead! So I have. It's just resting for ten minutes or so, as that apparently improves the texture. And if it turns out I still find it repulsive, I suppose I'll have to find some way to use up this carton of oat milk, and make flapjacks with the rest of the oats
Blue sky with lumps of fluff. Currently 7 degrees* ('feels like' 5) with a high of 15 expected. Once again a chance of rain forecast this afternoon. Barometer steady at 1007 mBar.

Rubbish sleep. Decided I'll rest today and visit Mum tomorrow. Big Tesco will also be open tomorrow so I'll be able to take her shopping if she wants to go. My brother is replacing all 6 radiators on his car this weekend so won't be seeing her until he's put that back together.
HWMBO is heading down this afternoon. I have warned him I'm full of lurgy.
* My weather app says it's 9 degrees on the widget but 7 degrees when you open it to see the detail
