    Morning.

    Saturday.

    Dry.

    Sunny (very).

    Frosty.

Chilly in here at 11.2 deg, 10 deg in the kitchen, 5 deg in the leanto.

1030.5 mBar, 30.43 in Hg, 772.94 Torr, 14.946 psi, (up from 1026 last night), 61% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 29th of December 2019 NF had a late brunch of a fryup, I went shopping to Tesco & Morrisons (by car in those far off days), LM went to Sainsburys, and xogg replied to a post of Brillo's that shewed a railway locomotive in someone's garden.

Shopping trip to Morrisons done dusted washed dried sanitised & put away.

Walk (unabbreviated) walked in the sunshine. Nice in the sun, not so nice out of it.

    Lunch: brunch.

Entertainment: half of The News Quiz.

Freecell score: 83%, running average: 81%.

    Book. Other book.

    Tea: soup etc.

    Entertainment: PM.

    Book. Other book.

"King Arthur's Britain" with Alice Roberts (crimson).

"The Gift": stuff that DNA tests reveal that sometimes you really don't want to know.

Morning all a bit of frost earlier on our perambulation, but clear skies and sunshine meant that a long coat and gloves were perfect for the first 15 minutes of the walk. No gloves required for the 15. About 15 minutes after that I was wishing I had brought a lightweight coat, and by the time I was coming home, I’d have been happy just to have had a t-shirt on.

Afternoon all, greetings from Stockholm Arlanda airport

The fog has gone, replaced by cloud. Currently 0 degrees ('feels like' -3). Barometer at 1022 mBar

          Sunrise 06:45; Sunset 17:17

Heading home after our mini adventure. We took a little walk around Gamla Stan this morning and had coffee and semla buns in one of the more well regarded cafes.

            Afternoon denizens

Sunny day again, though there's some high haze and lower clouds hither and yon. It's currently 8°C, shortly to become 9°, and lacks enough breeze to get a "feels like". The barometers are up some more to 1022/1030mB

No Monkey Life this weekend. I suppose I'll have to find some other way to pass the time. This programme about arthropods is all well and good, but not really an adequate substitute

Lunch earlier was ham toasties. And tea was brought to me from the south Indian restaurant past the park, and was very nice indeed. Their chicken 65 starter in particular is exceptionally good. Very nice lamb madras too

I did wonder if you were actually going to stop anywhere or just fly to different airports for the whole weekend

Laurel tree pruned. Various brambles dug up. Mower filled with fuel and started once it had drawn said fuel through. (Most of the) Grass cut at level 4.
                  Might have a bonfire tomorrow.

No Monkey Life today, but the other wildlife stuff continued. The macaque thing turns out only to have three episodes, so there won't even be that next week

Meanwhile in the Renaissance, I learned about Raffaello Maffei, an obscure scholar who somehow managed to survive decades of turmoil in the Vatican without any of the many and varied factions getting rid of him

No need for me to get up early tomorrow with there being no Monkey Life so I must remember to turn off the Sunday-only alarm on the phone.

                    Goodnight all
