    Fail!

Front windscreen wipers not effective enough, it seems. I daresay they were going to stick new blades on anyway, and if it needs further adjustment beyond that then I assume it won't be a huge task. A bit bigger is the handbrake only working on one side. Not sure why that would be as I'm no expert on parking brakes, but with luck they can get it sorted without too much hassle

Doesn't sound like I'll be getting it back this morning though

Off to loony lady 1 walk. Nice and sunny!

Turned me keyboard upside down and gave it a shake. So many crumbs I won't need to buy any biscuits when I go shopping.

Lunch: sausages in finger rolls. Very tasty

No word from the garage. Mind you, the things that were wrong on the MOT seem like things that would be attended to as part of a service anyway. So there's no real need for them to call me until it's done

          Greetings from Copenhagen airport.

Our landing into Oslo this morning was into freezing fog. Here in Copenhagen it's cloudy and 5 degrees.

There's a couple of hours to kill before we fly back to Oslo. My meetings this afternoon were postponed to next week (not by me) so it's been an easy afternoon of tinkering rather than having to properly use my brain.

The new copy of Viz comes out on 3/3. I still haven't managed to get the last one yet, not been in Sainsburies or Smiths. Have to buy the onlne one, either that or commit suicide.

Did you see this the other week:

Might be worth a try - some small shop could still have a copy left

After a 1.8 mile trek via the university, the prison, the hospital, and the poly, I was finally reunited with the car upon payment of a reasonable sum for parts and labour plus the MOT

From there I headed down to Big Sainsbury's, as it was the rush hour and traffic was going to be a pain whichever way I went. It turns out Sainsbury's itself isn't at all busy around that time on a Friday (circa 18:00) - I'd always vaguely assumed there'd be a lot of people stopping off to do the shopping on their way home, but apparently not

The shopping was thus done in relative calm, and on the way home I stopped off at the VAT fraud chip shop, so tea has been very nice fish & chips

Finally, upon returning home, my preferred parking space, just outside on the drive around the big lawn, was free! So the car is back exactly where it was this morning before all that nonsense about brakes and wipers

Greetings from a foggy Stockholm. Where it is -4 degrees. We stop here for the night, thank goodness. I hope it's warm on the train into the city.

You could have come to Leicester and had fog this morning, but I suppose you would have missed out on ladies gesticulating towards exits if you'd just hopped on a train at Saint Pancras

Tonight's major motion picture premiere was M3GAN (2022) in which a toy robot developer tries to fob off her recently orphaned niece with her latest creation. Said creation proves to be excellent at deducing and defending the best interests of the child, but how do they correlate with the best interests of its creator, or wider society?… I thought this was very good and recommend it to your attention unreservedly

Then a rewatch of Whiplash (2014) which is, as I believe I said when I first watched it, excellent - though it does demand a willingness to tolerate a deep dive into jazz. I assert that it's worth the attention

Finally, I decided it was about time for a rewatch of Speed (1994) because as we all know, it's one of the best films ever made

                      Goodnight all
