    Morning.

    Sunday.

    Sunny. .

    Dry.

    Blue sky.

Chilly in here at 11.3 deg, 9.5 deg in the kitchen, 7 deg in the leanto.

1031 mBar, 30.445 in Hg, 773.3 Torr, 14.9533 psi, (down from 1032 last night), 60% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 29th of December there was talk of guitar lessons, and it was cold.

Walk (unabbreviated) walked in the sunshine. Took miles before I was warm enough to take my gloves off, and more miles before the scarf was abandoned.

Things seen when out without a gun: a horde of MAMILs that would have been improved with an AK47.

    Lunch: brunch.

Entertainment: some bollox on R4 about German politicos.

Freecell score: 83%, running average: 81%.

    Book. Other book.

Tea: beans on toast etc. Nice enough.

Entertainment: PM. This does not compute: it's fecking Sunday, surely there should be that tedious poetry crap on instead? Danger Will Robinson!

NZ Highway Patrol: one in which the police car gets rear ended by some oik in a 4x4. Proper scum like wot we have here in Blighty. .

Doubt there's anything else to watch.

Book. Other book. Other other book.

Viking Ship thing: 5 they found in Denmark, 1000 years old. Rebuild.

"Heat (1995)" with Pacino and De Niro. And Val Kilmer.

Sunny day out with a clear blue sky, and the weather app claiming that it "feels like" it's warmer than it actually is: currently 5°C but subjectively 8° it says, with an expected high of 10° (real and perceived - the lines on the chart seem to converge at around 9°). The barometers are one up at 1023/1031mB

        Morning all

Clear blue sky, not even a wisp of fluff from my vantage point. Currently 4 degrees with a high of 9 expected. No precipitation forecast but there is a slight chance of an overnight shower. Barometer at 1032 mBar.

        Sunrise 06:44; Sunset 17:44

Uneventful journey home yesterday. My car survived being parked at Hatton Cross station for a day and a half.

        Off to see Mum today.

For tea tonight, Wales's finest tonkotsu ramen

That was the last of those out of the freezer. I'll have to remember to order some more

No telly today, apart from a bit of Road Wars that happened to be on when I was having lunch; I didn't remember the miscreants involved, so it might even have been a rare example of one I haven't seen before

This evening: new Surgeons on iPlayer, and new 24 Hours in A&E

Monday again tomorrow. At least I'm only doing three days this week, as I'm taking Thursday off to make up for Friday, when I'll be heading up to Liverpool for the interment of Mum & Dad's ashes

              Goodnight all

Sunny start here. The cars look a touch frosty though. Currently 1°C, but expected to soar to 11° by this afternoon; the barometers are heading down again at 1018/1026mB

                  Morning all

Sunny with a clear sky. Supposedly foggy but not round these parts. Currently -2 with a high of 11 expected. Barometer down to 1030 mBar.

A light frost, easily removed, was on some parts of my car when I ventured out to drop it off at the garage. It's in for a service plus other jobs today.

Now on the bus back home wherein coffee will be consumed ahead of starting work.

CBS and frosty out. -1.5C when we headed out, but glorious sunshine made it feel quite pleasant.

Annoyingly the little old lady with the labradoodle which is too big for her to control has started going out for her walk earlier in the morning. for the last 4 months she would leave her house at 7am and we would pass each other on a lane. This morning she arrived in one of Max's favourite fields about 5 minutes after us. Her dog is "friendly", i.e runs up to other dogs bouncing and barking. Max does not see that as friendly, and the little old lady doesn't think that her dog is doing anything wrong.
So, instead of a big run in his favourite field, we then went for a couple of kms along lanes to get to a common where he could have a blast.
…Maybe we ain’t that young anymore
