    Morning denizens

Cloudy out, but it looks like there are gaps opening, or soon to open, on the horizon. Not a warm week ahead though, starting at 0°C and only reaching a high of 4° for a short while this afternoon. The barometers are down some more at 1005/1014mB

Another week begins. I just checked and due to the vagaries of the Lunar Calendar, the next Bank Holiday is still three months away

      Morning all
Overnight drizzle made for a damp walk earlier, still fairly murky out.

Just did today's scrambled map and realised my wife may be there (briefly) later today.

          Morning all

Overcast and windy. Currently 19 degrees with a high of 22 expected. Thunderstorms forecast over lunch time, just when we're due to leave. Barometer down to 1014 mBar.

          Sunrise 08:08; Sunset 18:29

We have had a lovely week away and I'm not looking forward to being back at work tomorrow.

I should have! I'm not very familiar with The Division Bell but do enjoy their earlier stuff. Arnold Lane, Bike are much more fun than the overly self important post-Wall later stuff.

EDIT: not immediately post Wall, more the like the 1990's.

^^^ "Dangerous Visions": now that's a rave from the grave. I had all 3 of the paperbacks back in the day. Long gone.

              Morning.

              Monday.

              Grey.

              Dry.

              Sunless.

Chilly in here at 11.1 deg, 8.5 in the kitchen, 7.5 in the leanto, 4.6 in the saltinghouse.

1015 mBar, 29.973 in Hg, 761.3 Torr, 14.72 psi, (unchanged), 62% RH (Lidl electric).

              Shirts in the WM.

Shirts out of the WM & pegged out on the line.

Smalls & cottons in the WM.

Meanwhile on the 21st of December 2019 there were problems delivering NF's tea due to flooding and discussions took place about the confluence of rugby football and association football matches in that Leicester, with additional remarks regarding the Neath/Llanelli rugby match on Neath Fair Saturday in September (which doesn't happen any more due to the mighty being fallen & all that).

Shopping trip to Boots done dusted washed dried sanitised & put away.

Walk (unabbreviated) walked in the grey gloom.

Having gone cold turkey on the ibuprofen, everything now hurts.

              Lunch: brunch.

Entertainment: Book. Other book. (There's no other other book yet, I knew you were all curious).

House very roughly vacced: couldn't be arsed to move anything so even rougher than usual.

Shirts in off the line & in the TD.

Shirts out of the TD, roughly iRoned & airing upstairs. What would I do without picture rails?

Smalls & towel in off the line & in the TD.

Smalls & towel out of the TD & airing upstairs.

Remaining cottons in off the line & in the TD on a setting I haven't tried before: it's much longer.

Slightly more water out of the TD: maybe a cup and a quarter or so.

Tea: chilli con carne (tinned) with rice etc. Nice enough.

Remaining cottons requiring the iRon met the iRon & now airing upstairs. Bed remade.

Entertainment (during & after the iRoning): The Infinite Monkey Cage S28: Octopusses (the remaining half) plus Coincidence (all), and a bit of "How I is AI".

Oak Island Nutjobbery. Never knew charcoal set off a metal detector. The metal detecting moron seems to have a special talent.

Between blobs and baby blobs and golden potatoes how many fkn holes have they drilled in that little patch of dirt, JFC. Oil exploration drills don't drill that many holes in a lifetime.

I don't ever recall anybody making me want to stab them in the head thru the TV as much as Gary Drayton.
              This.^^^

Thing on 5+1 about Michelle Mone.

Some bollox or other I found on the EPG, the title of which I've forgotten. Oh Blind Frog Ranch. The ultimate bollox of all bollox known to man and person kind. Well that went <click> very quickly.

Even had the channel selector on BBC Parliament so I wouldn't have to see The Orange Moron whilst reading Ceefax. For some reason Luke 12:19 to 21 sprang to mind..

Everything seems to be running faster.

Were they just spiders (as they used to be called)?

I don't know the details, but it sounds like a malicious spider/crawler/bot thing scraping the forum repeatedly; it didn't identify itself as any standard kind of bot, like GoogleBot. The IP addresses it was using were all in Virginia, so it's probably some loser running stuff on AWS who's trying to train an AI on random chunks of the Internet
