    Morning denizens

Cloudy start out again, currently 10° and no better than 17° expected, plus a slight chance of rain this morning. The barometers have dipped very slightly at 1018/1026mB

      Morning all

Windy and cloudy. Currently 12 degrees with a high of 19 expected. Cloud cover set to dissipate (or maybe get blown away) by early afternoon. No rain forecast. Barometer down a touch to 1026 mBar.

No incidents but an interesting edge case bug that another team is looking into. I've made the executive decision that it won't affect our go-live this morning but that's really up to the Product Manager who generally agrees with me

I heard that it was some of his ill-advised quips in that episode which has lead to Greg stepping down from that show "to spend more time with my family"

Cooler this morning and overcast, but there's a promise of better later in the day.

          Outlook improving.

Car bought... it's a rather fetching Rangers blue (thanks for asking), so it should fit in with at least half of the local vernacular. I'm not sure that the shade is called "Rangers Blue" in the catalogue, but that's clearly an oversight. It will arrive later today. Quite excited.

Dog is due at the vet's for a once over later this morning. I seem to recall that he enjoys the thermometer a little bit too much for my liking. Grim.

              Morning.

              Wednesday.

              Grey.

              Sunless.

              Breezy.

Cool in here at 19.4 deg, 21 deg in the kitchen, 19 deg in the leanto.

1023 mBar, 30.21 in Hg, 767.3131 Torr, 14.83736 psi, (unchanged), 72% RH (GDR hair), 64% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 11th of June 2019 it was grey, rainy, and cold, while WTFH was enjoying a nice walk in Glasgow, whereas I was reading a book by Peter Hitchens* of which I have no recall, the tome in question having met Oxfam some years ago.

"The abolition of Britain" it would appear, after some research, not listed in the CUK Book Club, that only being resurrected by NAT sometime later on October 10th 2019.

Walk (unabbreviated) walked in the remarkably chilly breeze, I almost came back for a jacket, but warmed up eventually.

The Early Purple and Marsh orchids are appearing. Some oik has picked one.

Lunch: scrambled egg and poached tomato on Morrisons sunflower and pumpkin seed toasted crust, bramble jelly and marmalade on slices of toast, a yog, 0.91*1.55 pints of good Glengettie tea.

Entertainment: Y&Y <click> The thing at 13:45 about Inconvenience. Or something.

Shopping trip to Morrisons done dusted washed dried sanitised & put away, mostly for tomatoes. Forgot the eggs.

Freecell score in the unbearable heat & ennui of the afternoon: 100% (of 13), running average 85%.

Thank feck it's June tomorrow, 4 years since I "retired". And the End of No Mow May. Out will come the strimmer.

Wheeler Dealers S12 E19 Noble M12 GTO: bought: £21k5, total: £24,574, sold: £27k. Took it up to 170mph on the test. Refurb turbos, refitted the heater blower, replaced the sump with one with added baffles and oil capacity, added some magic turbo waste gate controller thingie and reprogrammed the EMS.

It failed 3 MOTs in 2015 when it came back from Italy, 2 on one day. And it failed a few MOTs after that. Now SORN. MOT ran out a year ago.

I know an appointment was made, but I haven't put it in my calendar so I'll have to call them and find out when it is

A BMW Series 1 like this one, but cheaper and with an upgraded dashboard, sunroof, and head-up display.

                    Pretty fancy.

The salesman tried to get me to spring for the optional indicators, but he wasn't going to catch me out; I know that they'd never be used.

I feel cheated that I was unable to use this one myself.
