Lunch: ham, pea and lentil soup with wholemeal bread

Knee: still not right, but a bit better than it was first thing. I still need to find the knee support just to be on the safe side, as so far I haven't tried anything adventurous like going up or down stairs, which was when it first really complained last night

And having found this, another duplicate dvd is added to the "get rid of " pile.

More scrap paper added to the recycling box ready for the Thursday collection.

Amongst the detritus there's several databooks for long forgotten POTS interface chips and the like.

Long forgotten because it's a long time since it was 1994.

Raining here, wood burner lit. Sick chicken sitting the other side of it.

Oh, and there was a brambling in the garden earlier. (Not sure I've seen one before)

Popped downstairs to check the post and so on, and the knee is really quite improved - it was getting me worried last night it seemed so bad, and this morning it didn't seem a huge amount better, but I reckon it might be OK again within a day or two

              More potching about done.

Water on the next door shed floor.

              ? tarp no good ?

              Nah.

It's coming in through what used to be a tinsheet covered wooden wall which is now a tinsheet wall unsupported by anything much.

Then it was on to the outside bog door hinge which isn't very old really compared with the top hinge which is ancient.

Naturally enough it's a Wilko hinge which has rusted rather badly despite being painted, so a bodge was employed to get the mounting screws (stainless) to fit again.

Then it was Bramble Killing Time all over again.

The pile o'tulipe in the greenhouse is now much taller than it was and the little toad in the compost heap extension is pissed off again.

Raining now, so I've stopped for the day.

The Adobe Flash installer just popped up prompting me to uninstall it as it's EOL at the end of the year. End of an era. Not necessarily a good era…

Tea: non chunky Tesco breaded haddock, stewed pears sans custard, 0.91 pints of good Glengettie tea.

Entertainment: TBD but might include the commentary on "Elizabeth" which might explain the historical inaccuracies.

"The Bad Skin Clinic" on Quest Red at 22:00.

Did I mention that a place I worked in Bryn Mawr had a very brief appearance in the thing on BBC Wales about Black miners?

Feck, it's a long time ago now: 1993, June, dodging bailiffs, end of story.
