Somebody needs to explain to the woman with the breakfast trolley that one slice of toast is not acceptable

Toasters have two slots for a reason!

The chap who’s been doing it the last few days was ever so attentive, anxiously asking if two slices was enough because he could make more if I wanted

You are clearly all fat feckers which is why you are in hospital.

I think you should "politely" ask the toast lady if she needs any help making the toast as she only seems to be able to use one slot at a time.

I fancied breakfast but have to go outside to get it. The black ice on the pavement is encouraging me to go hungry until lunchtime [emoji17]

The delay in my first flight meant I couldn’t get a pastry or 3 (they are small) from the lounge. I had to go straight to the plane

Today’s nurse, a youngish chap called Simon, has had the bright idea of getting me a portable heart monitor! With this slung round my neck, I can now go to the bathroom and wash myself properly

No shower, though, because of the heparin drip.
