The power of TPD. The Thandis are backOriginally posted by barrydidit View PostHere's the hill from somewhere over towards Holmfirth, I think

This time looking for public money to fund their plans. As far as i'm concerned they should leave it as it is now. Whatever gets built won't be as good as what was there before they got greedy. Besides, it's a nice open space now with no commercial distractions - just wind and rain and nice views. Filling it with old bags visiting a fecking café isn't going to help that.

Home again
ECG was, by the nurse's estimation, as normal as one can expect, and blood has been drawn. Oh, and it was the nice nurse; not that the others are nasty, but they're a bit clinical and distant in their approach, whereas this one is just chatty enough to make you feel a bit more relaxed, but not so much as to be irritating.
Big Sainsbury's was on the way home, and I decided to give their SmartShop app a try - you scan everything yourself as you shop, then pay at the end. (Better if you could pay in app, but anyway.)
So I scanned a couple of things near the entrance but then, when I got to the bacon which is further back, it turned out the app needs an Internet connection, and there's no signal that far into what is essentially a huge Faraday cage, so no joy
So I unscanned the two items I already had (which itself involved going back to the entrance to get enough of a signal to do so), then proceeded as normal.
The future is here, it's just not very evenly distributed

Chicken soup has been divvied up and put in the freezer: four large bowls of it, at around 450g/each
Now having a nectarine, which I assume counts as one of my five-a-year
