No wonder Farage didn't understand the economic parts of his party's "contract"

Exclusive survey for The Telegraph also shows party on track to slump to 53 seats, with around three-quarters of Cabinet voted out
Ignore fantasies about the Tories for a moment, why do you think an evasive, secretly left wing government with an unassailable majority to do what ever they like would be a good thing for the country? They've already revealed plans to skew the election system to keep them in power unopposed, and if you think they have a secret £50bn or so available from "economic growth" - which, incidentally, the rest of the manifesto shows they are unlikely to achieve - you're living in dream land. they will get the money easily enough, by fleecing all sorts of taxation levels. Pushing insurance taxes up to VAT levels would do it - in which case, bye bye private health care and all the services for minor treatments and the like that the NHS farm out.

It's a serious question. I'm genuinely astonished that intelligent people think that Starmer is anything other than a weak, prevaricating puppet saying whatever he thinks will get him elected.

But he’s not Sunak, is he?

And as for skewing the electoral system, Rees-Mogg openly said that the Tories gerrymandering the vote via Voter ID backfired on them, so don’t give us that guff.

Fun fact. It's the Torys who've given Starmer the win. All the Torys had to do was have integrity and competence.

Whining about how awful Labour will be. Sorry - you've already lost that argument by having no integrity and being supremely incompetent.

          Seriously?

The alternative is a bunch of proven corrupt incompetent prats (They've had 14 years to show otherwise).

So here's the choice. The same proven morons, or possibly a weak, prevaricating puppet. Where the majority of people who believe this are supporters of the morons.

And you, thinking you're intelligent, are surprised that people are more going for Labour than the Torys?

I'm not in the least surprised. After all, even I think the current administration has failed, although more through internal infighting, too many pygmies thinking they are important than they really are and spending more time on politics than doing the day job, rather than corruption and greed - all politicians these days fail on that score, regardless of party.

It's the lack of awareness around the actual state of things that irritates. I'll give Reeves and the unions two years before people are as fed up with them as they are with Sunak and team (is that the right word?)

Grifters are gonna grift - Farage is out for Farage.
                  I'll raise you.

                  Tory Leader Nigel Farage.

Well, if they do get annihilated on 4 July, they might just be desperate/daft enough. And I bet Farage would love doing to the Tories what his BFF Trump did to the GOP.

That's the second bet - Farage for Leader by end of 2025. I'll bet that Badenoch, Braverman and Mordant were annoyed when Farage turned up like a bad penny.
