Love my MX5 but since Mr MS's car has gone to the great scrapyard in the sky I really need to change it for something more sensible.

    Tis just like this https://www.parkers.co.uk/mazda/mx-5...3500101741891/ - < 22K miles.

    20K and it's yours

Merc SLK seem ok for the price, Saab 9-3 are quite cheap these days, ULEZ compliant, convertible, 2.8 man/auto, etc. Plenty of parts available, but a more expensive for servicing in London area.

Always thought the Saab 9-3 is one of the better looking 4 seat convertibles with the hood down and so cheap. It's just that plastic interior, particularly the centre console. Just awful

Too many plastic buttons on the dashboard on 04-07, then got changed to dials and so much better looking. Prices are just heading down, even with FSH & new MOT, nobody wants them.

If I ever go back to a gig with long commutes and need a cheap workhorse I'll be straight in for one of these just to have play around with it.

Had one several years ago, nightmare. Cant tell you how many times it went back. Then they crashed it on the way back from the latest repair.

Unfortunately the SAAB 93 was not a real SAAB but a General Motors Opel. SAAB was ruined by GM

Is Saab something you'd want to trust to get you to your child every day? I had heard they were somewhat highly strung but that may be bunkum.
