Don't give in OwlHoot . I support Putin. If his intention was to create greater USSR or annex Ukraine he could have easily done it in 2008 or in 2014. If US can take action when Russia deployed missiles in Cuba, why not Russia take action here. Comedian Zelensky is deliberately making his own people scapegoats, so that he can later cry calling it a genocide without realising that US is make him a scapegoat to test Russia's reaction.

1. Few US Arms suppliers would have made huge amount of money.
2. Sadly few hundred/thousand innocent Ukrainians would have lost their life because of their president.
3. Zelensky will be made drop his desire to join NATO.
4. Ukraine would have lost a large area of land that will become independent countries affiliated to Russia. These will act as a buffer protecting Russia.

5. Alternatives to Western controlled SWIFT and Social Media platforms will be introduced (at least in handful of countries)
6. $ value will drop in value and new currency acceptance will replace $ in certain countries.

This is very true, bound to happen. When a set of people remain as a minority because of their religious beliefs or nationality or colour, the majority always exhibit their good side (no matter which country, it is a worldwide phenomenon). This is when the minorities are safe and will progress. However, when the same side becomes or becoming a majority, they don't receive the same. After all, they are challenging the majority and threatening their existence. This has happened in Lebanon where the majority Christians are now only 45%.

In India, recent poll results show this. Indian muslims and christians challenging the majority Hindus by their numbers which makes the majority to unite against them.
