don't have to they are already enjoying the EU largess with rapes & gang crime.
Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.

Is it any wonder the UK are busy trying to get agreements without the EU or triggering A50?
Why should they? The UK is part of the EU and EU law still stands and negotiations can only take place once Article 50 has been repealed so the ball is all in the the UK's court unless you believe in breaking treaties and the law...
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

I really don't see how the UK can invoke article 50 before late next year. David Davies department will not even be up and running till the end of year. Then there's the whole process of developing what exactly 'Brexit' really means for the UK. What are the red lines?, what is Plan B should the negotiations not work? Then of course we've got the whole issue of the French and German elections. Maybe we could get a commitment right at the start of the process to extend it for another 2 years(Highly unlikely)
People need to understand that Article 50 was designed to give the EU all the cards. It was the 'Button that should never be pushed' We really need to do quite a lot work before pushing it, and not listen to nut jobs like IDS who are trying to rush it.

Fair enough. For the record, I think the Swedish bloke was quite out of order. The UK is a sovereign nation, and even within the EU it can set whatever rate it wants for any of its taxes. UK tax rates should have absolutely no impact on our negotiations with the EU.

It's up to the other party to decide what's important to them, they are certainly not keen on having another "Ireland" that it totally outside of EU influence.

Really? How they doing that without having negotiating teams in place for the EU?
You really are far far away in la-la land, aren't you?
It's going to be a very rude shock for many, when they learn what little clout a country with 3% of world GDP has
I blame poor maths teaching at school.
You can't really talk about complex issues without a basic grasp of proportions, ratios - basically O-level maths

...and there's still no sign of "article 50". Looks like it now won't be the beginning of next year, the new "unofficial date" is April.

Keeps getting pushed back and back and now there's infighting within the different departments as to who does what. I think May is just going to keep on changing things until everyone gets pissed off and decide not to go forward with it as (a) it's too much hassle and (b) it's going to cost too much...

If there's no Brexit, there'll be rioting on the streets as all the old fools with one CSE come out on their zimmers waving their walking sticks, ranting puce-faced, before keeling over and dying.
Let's just get it over with.

Quite true. I would be concerned about the elections happening in Europe as well. Many Europeans are now thinking that the UK should hurry up and are getting slightly peeved, this means that those running for office in Europe next year may use that as part of their electioneering and once voted in, decide to play hardball with the EU when it comes to negotiating the exit. Sadly I can't see it ending too well...The Conservatives put the referendum in their manifesto so they knew it was going to happen so why on earth didn't they at least start preparing once they got voted back into office regardless of whether there was a Yes or No vote? Pretty damn lazy of them...

So presumably it'll be quite empty around here then
