    Tories scrapping IR35

    Not sure what I feel about this, great for it to be scrapped. But not if another 4 years of this government :-(

      They can't win the next election.

      labour would just reintroduce it. Its not a controversial or unfair legislation for 99% of the country.

        Scrapping it would leave a massive hole something will need to fill so need the be careful what you wish for. For decades we wanted IR35 to change, it changed a couple of years ago and not for the better.

        Scrap IR35 and make everyone 1 man contractor go PAYE is not a win.

          I'd much rather they didn't scrap it.

          Why? I and other proper contractors are working outside of it.

              On what planet would scrapping a niche tax regulation that few outside of the industry have ever heard of and that overwhelmingly favours the better off (as least as far as the general population would see it/the press would play it) win the Tories the next general election?
