Me too - Mr Dull here, but it works for me in terms of financial security for me & the family. I still admire flashy cars though, and may one day buy myself an older Aston Martin as a treat / money pitOriginally posted by sadkingbilly View Postbut I've never overextended myself. seen too many people do that over the years, having to downsize urgently when there's a downturn, sell flash motors etc.
I prefer the quiet, non flashy, lifestyle

April 2025. Market is dead, no signs of recovery.
No software development jobs available, permi or contracting or grads. 2yrs since last contract.
It really is the worst I have ever seen it.
Right then, completed jobserve and linkedIn. Now time for running and gym.

I look forward to your all knowing and likely sarcastic and unhelpful reply.

Technojobs, Real and Zip specialise in high-volume low to mid range permie roles.
Technojobs in particular has been doing great business in this area for 20 years.
If you want a permie tech role that pays 28k-55k, head on over.Comment

Due to having time on my hands at the moment I do report job adverts in LinkedIn that read something like 'Test Job ***do not apply***' as being a tester they tend to get shown to me.Comment

I have heard it called the White Collar recession and it certainly isn't just Developers. Funnily enough a guy from New Zealand popped up in my LI timeline this morning and it sounds as bad out there as well.Originally posted by SchumiStars View PostApril 2025. Market is dead, no signs of recovery.

Still, we have the latest in the occasion series of events that will spark the market back into life with the Financial New Year. See UK General Election, US Presidential Election and UK Autumn Budget for further reading.Comment
