There's one type of glass, forget which, that does almost explode. Remember carrying a sheet once and obviously overstrained it and it just burst into umpteen little bits.

Darmstadt will probably be along to provide a better website, but I find DW.com good for German news in English.
It's the equivalent of the BBC and so robust. They use good photographers.
