Another great post from shampoo and I was also interested in the quote "I now feel sufficiently confident in my findings to engage a solicitor locally". So another one choosing not to join the Elysium group action?
I'm of the same view. I've recently come across an old article...

Validoom I personally don 't feel people need to seek legal support at this stage but if I've misunderstood your motives and you only intended to offer advice then I do apologise.
To make my own position clear, if I was threatened with court action by a bona fide company who felt they had a legitimate...Last edited by Diagnose b4 u prescribe; 29 May 2026, 09:13.

Or perhaps he somehow benefits from the lucrative income stream being generated for Elysium et al?
Threatened W28 content is the trigger, and the consequence is that Elysium get more people signing up. #justsayin...Last edited by Diagnose b4 u prescribe; 28 May 2026, 14:38.

Sorry for not replying sooner but I took an extended BH break and didn't catch up with this thread until today. My ex-Barrister Brother in Law is actually retired but to be frank I've kept him on the back burner in the highly unlikely event these we ever went all the way to Court. My opinion remains...Last edited by Diagnose b4 u prescribe; 28 May 2026, 14:33.

That is a good summary.
But no surprise that the conclusion is that people should seek legal advice and that they have a team of experienced professionals who can help...Last edited by Diagnose b4 u prescribe; 22 May 2026, 05:04.

Well said. And just to add credibility to Mr0666's post, that same case link was included in the article my HMRC contact directed me too. For those who missed it in my earlier post in this thread, I'll the re-insert the full HMRC article url link here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/loa...

I am wary of posts that seek to create fear and urgency in order to generate a particular response. That includes posts that direct people to take a particular course of action such as urgently joining a costly group defence.
Your previous post in this thread was on 29 April 2026, 21:11 "I...

I am concerned about that last comment regarding being bound by confidentiality. Are we missing something obvious here? Why are people being stopped from sharing information? This thread has so far focussed on the prime target of West 28th Street plus the inferred endorsement from Trethowans. It is...Last edited by Diagnose b4 u prescribe; 19 May 2026, 11:57.

Wow! That is gold dust for anyone that seeks to defend themselves against these crooks. Other contractors probably just need to replace the various entities (for example my original one was called Garraway) and then select some or all of your content! That post is a perefect example of contractors freely...

The HMRC person assigned to me is good and has kept me updated as far as he could. The Finance bill that covered the new settlement arrangements has gone through all the stages and HMRC are working on the various cases in prep for letters going out to all affected individuals more or less at the same...Last edited by Diagnose b4 u prescribe; 14 May 2026, 13:55.

Not been part of WTT or any other group but received the Trethowans / W28 mailing dated 24th April. I have no intention of paying them a penny. I would only spend money on this if they decided to take me to court where I would pay my Barrister brother in law to help me publicly destroy their case and...

Thought I'd add a short post especially for those who are relatively new to this and may feel anxious or that they are being singled out. This blanket scattergun approach has likely been sent to thousands of contractors and ex-contractors so you are NOT ALONE!
My own personal view: I have not...Last edited by Diagnose b4 u prescribe; 14 May 2026, 10:17.
