I reckon HMRC are expecting the judges decision to land somewhere in the middle, HMRC are going nuclear not because they expect to get everything they ask, but so that the middle shifts further to the right, and a bit more advantageous for HMRC.

I would tend to agree, CK and Boox clients were stopped from closing their Ltd companies because of the impending enquiry.
If your company is closed then I would be surprised if they came.

Having said that. This is HMRC who are a law unto their own, and we, the taxpayer are trying...

Respect to Boox for making what sounds like a reasonable defence for their clients (and themselves). Many would have just shut shop and disappeared leaving clients to fend for themselves....

Once you get a response, please let Dan Niedle know that your SAR got rejected, and you aren't the only one, and they are sending out blanket rejections to everyone....
