I too have had a package from Trethowans serving a default notice on me.
I intend to email them and dispute this and ask again for proof of the debt. I did ask for this before and was told it was vexatious.
Anything else I should remember to mention in the email?...

Well I’ve had a response to my SAR request.
It’s been denied on the grounds of being excessive under article 12(5) of GDPR.
I don’t agree with this and will be considering my next move.

I’ve not received the settlement offer yet, I ran the figures through AI to get an idea of what to expect when it drops. Good to know about the interest, I’ll check that’s not been included in the calcs....

Not had mine yet and can’t sleep for worrying about it. Ran my figures through AI and they look unaffordable. Not sure what this settlement opportunity was supposed to achieve but I doubt it will be its stated aim....

I sent them a scan of an HMRC letter with my name and address on. They already have this information as they wrote to me.

I want to see everything relating to me that they have and this satisfies the request for ID without giving them anything further that they could use....

I questioned them on this and ended up providing HMRC letter headed paper showing only my name and address (which they already had)....

Received the same saying they will try to fulfil within 30 days.

For those asking, it’s a legal requirement to comply with a SAR request under U.K. GDPR legislation....

Point 2 alone has alarm bells ringing for me so I won’t be sending them any personal information. The SAR clock is now ticking for W28 & Trethowans....
