I have sent my SAR to Lawton’s this morning via recorded delivery but looking on the law society website they are not registered with them so obviously just a cash vessel for the others in their group of companies.
This could mean one of two outcomes in my eyes.
They won’t care as long...

I have sent him the cover letter and a copy of my ‘loan’ agreement .
He seemed very interested and was very responsive ,I’m sure the more people sent him stuff from the own schemes, the better picture he could build....

I have just contacted FCA via the contact form on their website and uploaded the cover letters and my original loan form also gave them a brief history of my own case (Eximius, THL, Felicitas, Workcap, W28 & Trethowans) see what they come back with....

Asking as a layman.
what if you neither have the money to either pay the scam or solicitors?
I know plenty of guys who were put on the scheme as there was no other option besides not working...Last edited by Thunderpants; 12 May 2026, 09:19.

Yes I do, that was the time I woke up to this. Previously I just ripped up the letters from THL & Felicitas as I was dealing with HMRC
Tbh assignment wasn't mentioned but workcap were representing W28 so as far as I'm concerned it could be fraudulent....Last edited by Thunderpants; 9 May 2026, 18:08.

Last time (2023) I got a local solicitor to send them a letter to Workcap(£350) and never heard anything back until the new entity reared its ugly head. They knew they weren’t getting anywhere and that gives me heart in this one.
couple of things though that don’t sit right
Felicitas...

I’ll send a complaint in when they show their hand, If enough people do it even if not upheld they may back off with W28 in case it causes serious damage to their reputation and no company like a bad rep especially service companies...

Did you send your email to the junk mail account or direct to the solicitor?
I was going to wait and see until they send a demand as at the moment they are setting up to hit us...

Great reply
i am also in possession of the recording
will use the bulk of this letter if that’s ok
This thing is driving me nuts, Every 3 years I’ve got to put my tin foil hat on otherwise it’d be a straight jacket...

I have just emailed him with a copy of the cover letters. Another thing I saw was that the solicitor address was different from the return PO box on the letter. I don't know whether this is standard practice or another sign they are just trying it on...

I have had exactly the same.
It says it’s not a demand for payment but I think they are just putting their house in order paperwork wise before they start coming at us again.( last time 3 years ago via workcap)
