It's rubbish, and I would not go anywhere near a portal. If they have documents which they legally need to supply, then make them print them and send them to you or your solicitor. They're making the claim against you, it's up to them to be able to prove it. You are 100% within your legal rights...

When you received the original letter from Trethowans you formally disputed the debt and put them to proof............and they responded to state that what you were asking for was vexatious ?...

Basically, just make sure you formally dispute that any debt exists, and provide a list of documents that you require Trethowans to provide you with on which they are basing their claim.

I can guarantee that if they respond at all, they will try and fob you off and tell you to contact West...

They can ignore all they want, but providing you have firm proof that you disputed any alleged debt/claim in writing, then it makes things very awkward if they want to progress to court, as it means they have effectively ignored pre-action protocol, which for a professional law...

Any payments that may have been made ARE NOT CCA regulated, and to date I believe that Trethowans have intentionally ignored any request from any quarter to evidence why they believe they are. This is not a good look in court.
