Grey but dry day, again. Currently 13°C but expected to reach 14° for about five minutes in the middle of the afternoon; the barometers are down a touch more at 1015/1023mBComment

Lunch: a Pukka steak slice
I meant to have this yesterday but forgot and had a fish finger bap (white) instead. This meant that the steak slice was one day past its Use By date, but I'm sure it'll be fineComment

Tea was brought to me from the Turkish place, because I'm on holiday so I don't have to cook if I don't want to

Tonight's major motion picture premiere was Black Bag (2025) in which it initially appears that the wife of an SIS (aka MI6) analyst, also working at SIS, may have gone over to the dark side, and he and his colleagues have to establish the truth of the matter. I enjoyed this: a thriller which eschews the car chase and gun fight stuff in favour of showing a group of people trying to understand one another's relationships and discern their motivations in a milieu where deception is the norm and secrecy is a given. Well worth a watch if you fancy a spy movie with a bit of depth to it
After that, a rewatch of 28 Days Later (2002) - I'l be watching the new one soon, so I thought it only proper to refresh my memory of the first two before that. Such a good film! The poor quality of the picture because of the filming on digital cameras soon stops being annoying, and there are many shots where it's actually beneficial to the mood. Always worth watching, this one
Finally, S1E1 of Alien: Earth, Neverland (TV Episode 2025). I felt it suffered a bit from feeling that it had to introduce all angles of what is intended to be a complex story at the same time. Maybe developing one aspect first then introducing others later would have been a better approach? But what do I know; I just watch the stuff. Anyway, from what I've read online, it manages to get itself together a bit more in subsequent episodes, so I'll cut it some slack for now

Morning all
Dull and overcast. Currently 11 degrees with a high of 14 expected. Barometer down to 1025 mBar.

On my way to the GP for B12 stab no.3 and a blood test. No traffic on the roads so the bus is hurtling along. I'll be about 15 mins early at this rateComment

Morning.
Saturday apparently. Woke early as is only right & proper these days.
Dry.
Grey.
Sunless.
Chilly in here at 17.1 deg, 16.5 in the kitchen, 15.5 in the leanto.
1017 mBar, 30.03 in Hg, 762.8 Torr, 14.75 psi, (down from 1019 last night), 63% RH (Lidl electric).
Meanwhile on the 24th of February 2020: as per yesterday.
Walk (unabbreviated, towpath) walked in the grey gloom.
Lunch: brunch. Entertainment: the dehumidifier.
More welding practice. Not going very well. I have no idea what is going wrong but going wrong it certainly is. Ho hum.
Tea: soup etc. Nice enough.
Entertainment: PM. The Robinson thing <click>.
Maigret. Sommat to watch. "The triumph of Inspector Lognon". Pity I fell asleep in the middle.
Twilight Zone: "100 yards over the rim": from 1847 to 1961 & back again.
Twilight Zone: "The rip van winkle caper": gold robbers and a 100 year sleep in suspended animation.
Book. Next book.
I eventually realised that "Taggart" was in 3 1 hour eps back in the day, rather than one humungous lump of 2:45:00Last edited by DoctorStrangelove; Yesterday, 22:29.When the fun stops, STOP.Comment

Morning denizens
Unsurprisingly, it's an overcast sort of day. Currently 12°C and expected to be up at 14° for much of the afternoon. No rain expected before tomorrow (when there's a 90% chance of some) and the barometers are a little further down at 1012/1020mBComment

Loony lady 3 soon. Odd thing when went shopping earlier there was a big van with a US flag and MIAMI POLICE on the back. Surely, if it was just a joke, you wouldn't be allowed to write POLICE on a vehicle.bloggoth

After returning from being stabbed and having yet more blood taken for testing, HWMBO and I strolled down the road to have a look at the local shops. We stopped at a deli where cheese was purchased. We also had a look at the bakery which had a notable queue. We didn't need anything so just had a look through the window before taking a gentle pootle up to a tapas restaurant for a spot of brunch.
Now back home and ready for a nap.Comment
