    Morning all

Cloudy with intermittent bits of blue poking through. Currently 18 degrees with a high of 20 expected. Rain possible late afternoon. Barometer at 1015 mBar.

    Sunrise 05:25; Sunset 20:49 BST

We landed about 10 mins late yesterday, which was an improvement on the delayed departure. This afternoon HWMBO and I are off to Glasgow for the weekend as it's his youngest's 18th birthday.

      Shopping done!

I took the route past the old place as I don't think I'd been that way in a while. Happy to report that the chestnut trees are doing well

It was too early for the Polish café to be open, but I assume that's doing well too

There was a very light drizzle just starting when I set off, which had turned into a heavier drizzle by the time I was done and making my way back to the car. Then it progressed to heavy rain during the journey home. But that had stopped by the time I made it back, so it's just grey now

Went to pick up ll2 and she was still out shopping, we eventually set off about a 3/4 hour after the agreed time. She is a complete pain in the ****. I'll be glad when ll1 comes back from the US.

Tea has been a bowl of the beef & ale stew from the other night, because I couldn't be bothered cooking

Accompanied by the rest of the Trucking Hell I started last week, with Crouch back to being a repeat - though at least it was the van in the Scottish loch, which is quite a good one

                Uneventful journey to Glasgow.

HWMBO is having a new WM delivered tomorrow and has just received a text informing him that the delivery slot will be between 7 and 9 am.

On a Saturday too! That's just evil

No movies for me tonight, as I've got my cousins' birthday thing tomorrow afternoon so I need to be up at a reasonable hour to make myself presentable

Instead, I've read a whole lot more of The Martian, getting up to the point where the crew of the Hermes have decided to go back for him

                  Goodnight all

                    Morning all, Glasgow calling

Blue sky at the moment. Currently 13 degrees with a high of 18 expected. Cloud cover set to increase. Barometer at 1018 mBar.

                    Sunrise 05:24; Sunset 21:22 BST

WM delivery commenced, and completed, shortly after 8 am and all packaging removed, as requested. WM collection did not occur because some insects were spotted and the delivery people said that was a H&S hazard. It's a risk you take when moving something that's been in place for 15 years. Fortunately the local council will do a collection for a fiver once it's put out on the street.
