I seem to have run out of wholemeal baps, but I'm not going all the way to Sainsbury's just for them. Might pop round to the bakery in the morning; I need to go to the chemists anyway, and they're only a couple of doors apart

Meanwhile the 15th of January 2020 was much the same as yesterday: NF blamed the wheel nuts for being too tight.

Walk (unabbreviated) walked in the unbearable sunshine. Heard a cuckoo. Several times.

Sunny day out with no clouds to be seen, at least not from this angle. It's already 16°C with a stated goal of 20°, though the barometers are down a bit at 1007/1015mB

I ended up having a nice sleep in this morning. Just need to get ready for the off once I've had coffee; all I need to take with me is Easter eggs for everyone

Home again!

It turned out we were having lunch at the pub near the old parental home. Very nice meal; I had ham, fried eggs and chips, which was all the better for a grilled pineapple ring that hadn't been mentioned on the menu

On the way down, Google Maps seems to have become a little confused, as when I arrived it proudly announced that the journey had taken 20,618 days and 11 hours, which it hadn't

And coming back it was telling me it would take longer than seemed likely to get home. Once I'd arrived, I discovered that it had somehow got the impression that I wanted to go to the Build-a-Bear Workshop in town. I'm not averse to the idea in principle, but not today thank you
