Just popped out the back. The wind has dropped and it's snowing quietly - not a huge amount, but enough to make the place look vaguely scenic

No messing around with haute cuisine for dinner tonight: roast chicken and chips, with salt, vinegar, and ketchup. Very nice too
Chicken thighs, to be precise; three of them. I bought half a dozen which were intended for snacks or lunches, but they got a promotion
