Time to head out for stuff. Hope I get word about my new specs while I'm out and about, but it'll probably happen just after I've got home and settled back in
Though there's no guarantee they'll be ready today anyway, of course. I did tell him there wasn't any particular rush for them. Only later did it occur to me that I actually want the new intermediate ones for working at the new iMacComment

I have to decide if to pump up my tyres tonight. They are probably about 40psi. I usully use 60psi. But in the cold weather I think a bit less psi will give me more grip.
But I don't want to get a puncture.....Comment

If the roads are dry, lower pressure = wider surface area = more grip (but also more rolling resistance)
If the roads are wet/snowy, higher pressure = smaller surface area = cutting through the wet/snow (less likely to aquaplane)
