A very pleasant lunch in a country pub with family, followed by an early Christmas exchange of gifts at my parents' with my nieces, who'll be with their mother's family this year. Oh, and one had her twenty-first birthday a couple of weeks ago, so that was also celebrated. In fact, I'm not entirely sure whether it was her birthday plus a bit of Christmas, or the other way round; not that it really matters

The A14 to M1N flyover is now open, making the journey back rather better than it was when the Catthorpe Interchange, as it's known, was first entered in the junction hall of shame on CBRD.

Finished 98% of mine on Monday. The last 2% involves buying some alcohol. 60% of my presents this year are from Amazon. I've never been so lazy.
