It was unfettered sunshine half-an-hour ago but a belt of (partially thinnish) cloud has moved in from the east, though it's still clear to the west right now. No idea what this will do for the temperatures; we're starting at 21°C and expected to get to 30° by mid-afternoon. The barometers are heading back down at 1008/1016mB
There was a wisp but it's gone now, leaving clear blue sky from my vantage point. Currently 24 degrees ('feels like' 26) with a high of 32 expected. Barometer down to 1020 mBar.

I considered going into the office for the air conditioning but decided to tough it out today. I have to be there tomorrow and may be more appreciative of such facilities by then.
Currently the living room windows are open to encourage some non-existent breeze in. At lunchtime I'll close all that up and shut the sun out as it gets full afternoon sun.
Wifey is out cutting the grass before it gets too hot. I'm "working". But not much to do, since we just shipped the latest upgrade and we're in code freeze until tomorrow.
I might have a look at the latest requirements for our internal systems and decide which ones to send to the contractor we've engaged.

Meanwhile on the 28th of January 2020 WTFH was working on the chicken run, Brillo popped in, LondManc observed he, Brillo, might be talking pony & trap, BR14 popped in, I was in with the hoi polloi, LM was about to write the essay and was wondering about the contract, and according to reports from LondonManc it was snowing in Bury.
Freecell score: 92%, running average: 82%. FFS how long before I reach 83%? Been playing this since the days of WIN32S. And I'm still crap.
Lunch: brunch. Entertainment: Sarah Dunant waffling on about stuff. I forget quite what. Rome might have been mentioned & archaeology or something.
More potching in the garage: I successfully proved I Am Not Prince Andrew since the sweat was dripping off me at one point & my glasses steamed up. Had to peel kit off once I'd come back up to the house. Probably explains why fewer trips to the loo were required today.
Entertainment: Ancient Aliens bollox on Blaze. . Twas either that or Nazis, so I chose Aliens instead. Fell asleep at one point.
Tea: Mr Brains faggots with peas & suchlike. Nice enough.
Entertainment: PM <click> once the politico turned up.
Lucy Worsley: Blitz.
Blaze: Skinwalker Ranch. I wonder if they'll raise anything on this ep. More rockets. Helicopter. More laser range finder thingies. Etc. Oh, and they finally managed to drill that hole through the mesa that's been ongoing for years.
PBS: what happened to Old Yellow Hair Custer. They managed not to call the treatment of the Native Americans a genocide.
Village club again yesterday, yack with neighbours. Free drink from usual bloke, dunno why he keeps buying me drinks, could he be a gay gerontophile after me **?
Saga quick crossword much harder than standard one as usual, how many would know name of woods in As You Like It ? Free day today, feels too hot for walking. Horribly sweaty wonk yesterday, thought would be ok in dark woods, but actually worse than in open, no breeze.
