Tonight's major motion picture premiere was Mile 22 (2018), one of those action thrillers about a CIA black ops team having to exfiltrate somebody in a foreign city, resulting in lots of car chases and gunplay; though in this case, the somebody is the guy from The Raid and the foreign country is a thinly disguised Indonesia, so there's some good martial arts sequences too. I enjoyed it
And then a rewatch of Gladiator (2000) because it's always worth a watch

That was so exciting I then mowed the remainder of my lawn, as started yesterday. I think this is more sensible since I'm nowhere near as knackered as when I mown all six (or 7) one after the other in the blazing heat of the afternoon.

Sunny out, with hardly a wisp of fluffiness. Not too warm though at 17°C, which is as good as it'll get. The barometers are up a bit more at 1014/1022mB
Had a couple of croissants with strawberry jam with my breakfast coffee while watching New Zealanders look after injured penguins
Better decide what to have for lunch now, before it gets too close to teatime

There's been three pub visits in London: the first was the CUK Xmas do last December, and there's been two work-related occasions this year. And I was in a hotel bar after a funeral last year (though I didn't have any booze because I was driving).
