Yup. That's more or less where my addiction started.

Though I have no recall of the sword or the pulley.

    Or the pointy rock.

Knackered now and my back is unhappy, presumably due to lots of bending down fiddling with screws and things earlier

Still, it's all in a good cause

      Goodnight all

          Morning all

Dry, blue sky, no cloud from my vantage point. Currently 17 degrees, high of 26 later . Barometer dropped a touch to 1022 mBar.

HMWBO arrives later today - he's been doing one of his courses up at St Neots. Staying to the weekend when I go back up to Glasgow with him for a week

          Today's Kantar diary fact is:
John H Kraft is granted US patent for 'manufacture of soft surface cured cheese' 1953

            Morning denizens

Being knackered and worn out last night, I set my alarm later than usual and allowed myself a bit of a lie-in. Feel much better for it

Another sunny start out and expected to continue in much the same way. Currently 18°C, chasing a high of 24°; 1013/1021mB on the barometers, so very slightly down

              Morning.

              Grey.

              White sky.

              Sunless.

Cooler in here at 19.8 deg.

              Breezy.

              1019 mBar, 30.09 in Hg, 65% RH.

              Wednesday.

              Walk walked in the drizzle.

              Very close.

              Still sunless.

              <hiatus>

The drizzle has stopped. It's raining instead.

Lunch: poached tomato and scrambled egg on Morrisons wholemeal sunflower and spelt toast, bramble jelly sandwich x 2 on same, red pippy corner yog, 0.91 pints of good Glengettie tea.

<hiatus in the grey gloom of the June afternoon>

              Freecell score: 85%, running average: 84% (83.93%).

I wonder if I'll live long enough to get it to 90%

Tea: the last of the roast chicken & sausage with carrots & onions, a yog, some mango segments, 0.91 pints of good Glengettie tea..

Entertainment: STOS S3 E23: "All our yesterdays".

Dunno why but I always feel sorry for that woman trapped 5000 years ago in an ice age.

              DS9 S1 E2: "Emissary Part Deux"

              Dr Pimplepopper:

A 67 year old chap with an enormous pilar cyst on the back of his head, and three smaller ones on his scalp.

It took ages to remove the big cyst so he had two separate surgeries.

The other three were difficult too, but the final result was pustulently good.

A chap with Tuberous sclerosis with bumps & pimples on his face around his nose.

              A woman with dark spots.

Thought to be self inflicted, sort of ocd.

Detonators: blowing more tulip up, what's not to like.

Demolishing a steel girder bridge over a river with shaped charges.

              They like shaped charges.

Next: demolishing a 12 year old Miami Arena building.

Well that's inneresting, I hadn't realised that the series is from 2008/9.

I may have been premature. In the 'coming up' bit at the end, they look for another diver so that may be the one you're aware of.
