I thought this myself this very morning EO.Practically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.

Unfortunately, I believe we'll only find out about Maddy once someone dies and confesses on their death bed. I don't think she's alive, not a bit of it.Comment

If I was the parent of a missing child I would be absolutely furious by now. I would be knocking on the doors of the police station asking for the same amount of attention as the they're getting to search for my child. I would be asking the government to allocate the equivalent amount of funds to look for my child. I'm sorry although I feel bad for them having a child going missing I don't like the way that it all seems to about them. They seem to be gallivanting all over the place but where are their other 2 children? Surely they should be with their parents at a time like this and although their parents are trying to keep them out of the spotlight, by continuing to parade themselves in front of the media in this fashion is not doing that.Originally posted by mudskipper View PostIt's big news, because the parents won't let it go. If they believe Madeline is alive, then I think they're absolutely right (and is what "good parents" would do!) By keeping the case alive, if she was sitting next to you, there's a small chance you'd spot her, if they don't there isn't.“Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.”Comment

I believe that the reason a kidnapping is suspected is the elimination of other possibilities? She was not within the range that she could have got to herself and there was no evidence at the room that anything had happened there (like her being chopped up etc.). The only real possibilities are that someone took her without the parent's consent (i.e. a kidnapping)or that the parents are complicit in her disappearance.Originally posted by darmstadt View PostI'm still waiting for some proof that there were any kidnappers, maybe the parents cut her up into a 1000 bits and flushed her down the loo, maybe she spontaneously combusted, aliens abducted her (oh, kidnapped,) but there is still nothing to say she was kidnapped so stop jumping to conclusions everyone...Comment

I'd add that she could have wondered off and something else happened, drowning, covered up car accident.Originally posted by MyUserName View PostI believe that the reason a kidnapping is suspected is the elimination of other possibilities? Dodgy I think that's the first time I've agreed with a post of yours in it's entirety - I need to go and lie down for a bit.Originally posted by DodgyAgent View PostIt begs the question then that if you do leave a child alone for 5 minutes and it is kidnapped or even ten minutes? or even if it is kidnapped whilst you are asleep what then? There will always be some judgemental so and so criticising you. The focus of ire from these self righteous pillocks and their "cotton wool kids" seems to be at the Mcanns not at the true culprit which is the kidnapper. Infact I would go so far as to say that quite a lot of people regard what has happened as their "comeuppance", which I find pretty disgusting.Comment

Out of interest, does anyone else ever leave their kids' bedroom windows open at night in very hot weather?Comment

Of course they do, but the moment a kid wakes up to find a swarm of bees in their room (plausible but very unlikely) everyone will be piling in about what terrible parents the kid had.Originally posted by Old Greg View PostOut of interest, does anyone else ever leave their kids' bedroom windows open at night in very hot weather?Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment
