      +1

Never giving up is probably what's keeping them going [I'm guessing].
Practically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.

I think it would be one of the only things keeping me going...

Yes but surely this means other cases, with more chance of success, are being restricted?

I'm sure every parent this happens to believes their kid is still alive. So for the parents to keep pushing makes total sense... but the police are choosing to actively pursue it which is the part I am asking about. There must be a long missing-persons list in the UK, after all?

nope, they killed her and are keeping up the facade.

The parents have been smart enough to hire investigators and they have gathered enough evidence that the UK police have to get involved. Much of that is funded by damages claims which I think would be well past a million now, I would suspect they will get a lot more.

I personally think they will eventually get somewhere, someone took her and there will be a trail, the Portuguese police made an absolute fook up of the investigation and when that dawned on them started to fling as much tulipe about as they could in order to shift the blame, that really is the cause of much of the distrust of the couple.

Also this case has shown up how totally fooked up the nation is morally, parents losing a child like that it an absolutely terrible thing and people just love to get stuck into them though, to lose the emotion of pity for that couple no matter their debatable lack of care is something that should be a great concern.

There have been three or four stories in the last few years of birds escaping from cellars and suchlike.
I reckon that must give them something.

I find it amazing there can be a trail left to follow - I don't mean this case specifically but any time police someone crack a 10-year-old case. Fascinating really.

I'm still waiting for some proof that there were any kidnappers, maybe the parents cut her up into a 1000 bits and flushed her down the loo, maybe she spontaneously combusted, aliens abducted her (oh, kidnapped,) but there is still nothing to say she was kidnapped so stop jumping to conclusions everyone...
