It's interesting that one third are against. They can't all be religious bigots, so what are their reasons?Down with racism. Long live miscegenation! -
Are you sure you didn't just want to win the CUK 'big word of the day' prize?Originally posted by NotAllThere View PostTotally agree. I've always been a supporter of disestablishmentarianism. And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014Comment

Does that suggest there are a few people who can only form meaningful relationships with their sockies?Originally posted by NorthWestPerm2Contr View Postback to the purpose of this thread. While this can't be used as an accurate sample, there are more against gay marriage than there are for. Those who are indifferent are the rest.....Comment

Well there is the argument that there are better things to be debating at the moment and possibly the thinking that this topic is so emotive either way it is going to damage the Tory vote at the next election. Could be people using this as an excuse to stick the knife in regardless of what is being tabled as well. I don't think it is just people that don't think gay people should marry. We also still have a 3 or 4 generations of people that are not used to openly gay people/issues that could vote no because they haven't come round to the idea. Don't have to be a religious bigot to not understand. You could be old as well.Originally posted by NotAllThere View PostIt's interesting that one third are against. I'm against it. Marriage is between a man and a woman, you can call it what you like but if it's anything else it's just not marriage. For me it's not about the Gay issue, it's about the whole 1984ish thing of changing the meaning of words. I thought we'd left all that behind when Blair got booted.Originally posted by proggy View PostLack of education, low IQ, learning difficulty, mental health issues, retarded... the list goes on....my quagmire of greed....my cesspit of laziness and unfairness....all I am doing is sticking two fingers up at nurses, doctors and other hard working employed professionals...
