It's interesting that one third are against. They can't all be religious bigots, so what are their reasons?

If not they always translate it to Temple for non Sikhs and commonly use Temple when talking in English. The Signage is Sikh Temple then"Gurdwara X".

I doubt most of us are Sikh it makes any sense to use the native word.

Excluding a portion of society based on something they are born and who don't break the law, is in my mind irrational. Same as excluding someone because of their race.

The first bit is correct. I haven't heard what I would consider a good rational argument against gay marriage either, but I am open to reason. I don't assume that if I haven't heard a good reason, that there isn't one. Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.
