Well it's not been a good start to the day, i went to the cashpoint in the village at 7.10am to get some dosh out only to find the bloody thing wouldn't give my card back, i could see it stuck as it was coming out of the machine, so after a bit of fiddling with another card to try and jiggle it out and not getting anywhere i decided to leg it back to the house which is about 30 seconds away round the corner to get a knife. On my return a couple of mins later i found the cashpoint showing a error screen, and quite obviously the card input bit radically altered.
uh oh, i thought, and called up HSBC straight away, as they were putting a stop to my card they told me 3 transactions of £500, £300 & £200 had been withdrawn from a cashpoint round the corner at the local supermarket. So as i'm on the phone to them i'm legging it round the corner to see if i can catch them in the act, as it was literally a minute or 2 ago. Unfortunately they'd buggered off by the time i got there.
Fortunately they had not covered their faces when they withdrew the money from the other cashpoint so they've got some excellent shots of them.
HSBC have already refunded the £1000
but the little pikey bastards have had a good morning making £1040!!(they got the £40 that hadn't yet popped out due to my card being stuck)
I'm usually pretty astute but they proper had my kecks down with this one!
Apparently they've had 4 incidents of this in the past week!
Basically they had fitted another metal device over the card slot which had a razor blade in it which pivots so basically it allows the card to go it but then flips up and stops it coming out. Crafty bastards!! They must have had a little pin hole camera aswell to video my pin input!!
