Well I've had the fuzz round tonight (very tasty wpc ) to take a statement about what happened
They said it's really daft but because there's no victim then it isn't treated as a crime. Basically because I've been refunded I'm not a victim and the bank is insured so unless the bank/insurance company want to push it further it won't get reported as a crime!
They have said they are going to try and catch them though as it's happened twice more since me at the same cashpoint! They crooks are obviously getting greedy so they need to do a stake out to catch them! Its happening between 5 am and 7.30am basically the first person to use the cashpoint that day!

Also obviously have to carry passport, driving licence (both parts), RAC membership card, EHIC, and client co entry badge. And 2 currencies.
And that's when I'm not working in SAwitzerland. Would love to cut it down to 1 card + folding money.

I do wish accounts would let you specify how much you can withdraw a day up to a certain limit.
Sh1tybank tell me there are withdrawel amounts of various frequencies (per day, 2 day, 3 day etc.) but refuse to specify what they are.

I've got a Halifax web saver account that gives me a non chipped cash card. I use that for my general day to day cash, I actually have it set with a hard limit of £100 per day so as to avoid this kind of thing. I'll only use my debit card if I really have to.

Interesting thread.
I used to keep around £6K in the joint current account of ours, to maximise on the interest. But now i keep just enough in there to pay the Direct Debits coming out.
I trust myself to be vigilant at ATM's/online retailers/etc, but would queencook be as vigilant? After reading this thread, I would have probably been caught by the "card trapping" technique.Last edited by kingcook; 7 November 2012, 14:18.

Use cash rarely these days. Always cover my pin irrespective of where it is.
Though clogger cards restrict you to daily and weekly amounts you can spend or take out and you can only use a non bank ( i.e. not your bank) atm once in a day. If you want any more cash you have to go to one from your own bank.
