HSBC allows me at least £500 a day.

Mind you it would take over a month to clear what's in that account.

A month? Must be your current account then.

I'm not too sure what the limit is, since it's so rare to deal in cash these days. I did have to lift £300 recently to pay a car repair bill at my local garage (who only work in cash), and was surprised to find I could even lift that much. It used to be £200 per day, but I don't honestly know what it is now, just that it's at least £300.

Happens quite often in Germany (although recently banks have taken a lot of measures to clamp down on it and haven't seen too many press reports recently) and in particular when the perpetrators are caught, tend to be East Europeans.
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

£1000 per day if you're with HSBC Premier. At least that's what mine does.

I saw one of these in the cash machine at the Borders in Glasgow. It was the type with the strip running under the fluorescent light. Someone had obviously clocked it and ripped it off..

You should have a look here, some of the stuff these guys have is pretty damn sneaky.. You can't even trust the pin pads now!

So for the particularly observant, you can win a free iPod.

I got a call from my bank a few weeks ago, saying they were going to reissue my wife's card on my account, since she'd used a compromised cash machine. Funny thing is, when we checked, it was the one inside the branch...

Cater Allen has changed recently from £500/day to 3 x the limit of the machine.

I use cash all the time, lunches, pub etc all better with cash.

Last time I used a card in a pub it got cloned, so I don't bother any more
