Apparently it's called 'normal weight obese syndrome'.

    I'm size 10. Hex.

Haven't a clue what size I am any more, they don't do UK sizes over here.

Just told hubby my cycling buddy has been banned from the forum. He seems genuinely shocked that I could have gone out with such an unsavoury character. He's never read CUK.

Certainly didn't have the time in the UK, 4 hour commute every day and the last thing I wanted to do is to come home and drive half an hour to the gym
Exactly. I have a 4 hour commute, that's why I cycle to\from the station at both ends. If I didn't do that I'd not get any exercise at all. My sanity depends on me sleeping on the train on the way home. No way to live really but it's not as if I'm on minimum wage.

I know how you feel, decided enough was enough and jumped ship. Now have a half hour door to door commute and have taken up badminton and know that any new gig will be no more than an hours commute.
Have found my fitness has increased considerably just by paying badminton twice a week as opposed to going to the gym which bored me senseless.

That is critical. If the mode of exercise you choose is not something you really enjoy then it will ultimately prove unsustainable.
