Why does that not surprise me? It's in keeping with your general feeble-mindedness that you think PR is a good idea
Well of course, I can see why the very notion of a system whereby 60% of the votes gets you 60% of the clout in policy-making might baffle a statto like you.
You are presumably in favour of retaining a system in which getting less than 40% of the votes can get you a sizeable enough majority to vote through lazy, party-driven, and often targeted and vindictive policy. Policy that generally gets reversed by the following government in very expensive style.
There is a reason why your mind works that way sasguru. It has to do with your IQ being less than 3/5 of the square root of fook-all. Right up there with your charisma count!
“The period of the disintegration of the European Union has begun. And the first vessel to have departed is Britain”
You should get out more. I presume that even in the wilds of County Durham there is the odd War Memorial. That should do for starters.
I didn't ask who died for us to be able to vote. I asked who died to give us the option not to vote. Many democracies in civilised nations have mandatory voting laws.

Let's not try and over-complicate this for you. What say we just stick to what we have here in Blighty?
Now the fairly straightforward point I have been attempting to drum into that dormant organ of yours, with only limited success it appears, is this.
A great many people have given their lives over the decades to ensure that in this country we have both the right TO vote, if we so wish, or the right NOT TO vote, if we wish. Tis the same people in actual fact. Now....has that particular penny now dropped or should I prepare some sort of Powerpoint Presentation for you?
“The period of the disintegration of the European Union has begun. And the first vessel to have departed is Britain”
You're evading the question. You explicitly stated that we had the right not to vote and people had died for this right. Unless we fought against a nation who would have introduced democracy with mandatory voting, you're just plain wrong.
You can use all the big words and extravagantly over-complicated wording you like, but it doesn't answer my question. That's a politician's trick.
