In any Election held in the UK, are you at liberty not to vote if you so choose? (NB. This is a Yes or NO question. Take your time and phone a friend if struggling)

If the answer is NO, then that assumes some form of mandatory voting legislation has been enacted.
If the answer is YES, then that assumes that is a freedom that is available to you, and comes as part of the overall package of self-determination and freedom of choice that our Armed Forces have preserved for us for so long.

They may very well do just that, and if they do then that is fine by me. That will be democracy in action. I will still sleep peacefully in my bed at nights. I will also be safe in the knowledge that I actually put some thought and consideration into my choice.
You on the other hand appear to have simply followed the herd and voted for the answer you thought might win.

BTW if you live in London you would know both eccentric Tory Boris and left-wing anti-Bliarite Ken were elected under AV to be the Mayor of London, with clear majorities.

AV isn't equal to PR by any stretch of the imagination as many people didn't bother with a second or third preference vote.
