[Rant]
Sadly, I can see Farage's lot getting in at the next GE.
Back in the 70s, when people were equally disillusioned, it flipflopped between Labour and the Tories. Now, the Tories are a spent force; aping Reform but why would anyone vote Reform-light when you can choose "full fat". It won't end well mind you; electing popularists never does.
I hate to think what America will be like in 4 years time. Full blown authoritarianism? Trump the defender of free speech; what a joke. Aye, free, as long as you don't make fun of or criticise him or his fascist regime.
My only consolation is I'm old, and I might be dead before 1929*.

Same here. It's the line I tend to use when a discussion on politics, future of jobs, immigration etc gets too indepth. 'Ah well, I'm glad I'll be dead before then' usually cuts any discussion short.Originally posted by DoctorStrangelove View Post

Woke (adj): having or marked by an active awareness of systemic injustices and prejudices, especially those involving the treatment of ethnic, racial, or sexual minoritiesOriginally posted by tazdevil View PostThe only people taking up arms seems to be the woke left, lots of recent examples for this. So are you saying the woke left will prove their Nazi credentials come a change of government?
I'm sorry you see that as a negative label, personally I'd consider it a compliment to be called woke. But judging by the usual content of your posts, you might consider it an insult.Comment
