I probably will be, assuming I'm fit and able to.

I think it's going to be necessary as the fundamentalist gene pool is shrinking and they're the only ones breeding. (I might have to watch Idiocracy again)

I’m crossing Scotland by foot in a couple of weeks time. Just because I can.

Nice. From where to where? I have vague plans to walk as much of the top of Scotland as is possible starting at Cape Wrath and ending at John O'Groats with detours along the way to visit old Clan Albert haunts.

Starting at Shiel Bridge, ending at Stonehaven, via Corrieyairack and Glen Feshie.

Just hope you don't meet that Rick Deckard chap, he seems to have a different approach to "retirement". Seems fond of electric sheep though.

Wow, that is an epic walk !! I've done several sections of that (in bits) over the years.

Have a great time with that and get some photos blogged !!

John O Groats is an absolute tulipe hole. Better start there and end somewhere else. It's a major disappointment when you arrive !

I don't plan to retire. My work has been my hobby for 40+ years. Except when I was in managment.
With you on this so hopefully can keep working, turning 60 very shortly. People ask why don't I retire suggesting I could be doing hobbies\what I want... well apart from not being in a position to retire my hobby is dicking about with computers, so might as well get paid for doing that

Some or those areas are truly stunning. If you don't already know, many of the bothies on your route will be good quality.
