Too much is fooked already, if Tories were to stay in power and continue what's already here, then you'd see a total collapse of everything that's already collapsing (ie. everything, nhs, education etc. you name it, there's no single area which isn't collapsing atm). The budget deficit is so high that lowering taxes is not a viable possibility and considering how everything around you is collapsing, taxes really need to go up (or some other serious source of funding is needed, we are talking billions of pounds, not millions), lets also not forget that defence spending needs to go up, so that's another big dent in the cash pot. Labour claiming they can roll in and fix things just by throwing money at it are delusional as well, there is no money, period. Libdems can't do anything on their own and Reform is effectively ex-Brexit party once more.

“The Conservatives have promised some £17 billion per year of tax cuts, and a big hike in defence spending. That is supposedly funded by reducing the projected welfare bill by £12 billion; cracking down on tax avoidance and evasion; and saving billions from cutting civil service numbers, reducing spending on management consultants, and “quango efficiencies”. Those are definite giveaways paid for by uncertain, unspecific and apparently victimless savings. Forgive a degree of scepticism....

probably but if we got rid of HS2, Net Zero and all other green and/or woke schemes we might stand a chance. Follow that up with reverting the new Universities back to technical colleges and investing in apprenticeships we might get some work force capable of working. Then invest in new infrastructure that'll actually make a difference rather than lining fat cats pockets such as tunnels through the Pennines connecting Leeds and Manchester and upgrading the Hull to Liverpool transport corridor and we'd really start to motor
And, my other idea if we want to shift people quickly in and out of London from the North, put a Maglev down the centre of the M1.

The thing us the Tories are at least offering things we can criticise as unworkable. Labour are offering one ir two aspirations but saying nothing about what they actually do. Lib Dumbs are pointless wastes of space. Reform have no idea and are standing a bunch of 80s morons. The rest are out of scope.
We will get a Labour government. I doubt it will last a full term, but fear the damage they will do until then. They are cosying up to an EU that has moved on a long way and is heading to the right at some speed.

The future is not looking good...
This is my thinking as well. There is no one I want in charge at this point so going to be a strange couple of years. I'll admit I'm glad Reform is making waves. I don't want them in but I do want the bigger parties to listen to the message and do something about it. Europe is fast moving to the right and as much as many people don't like it, it is the will of the people and is gathering pace. The parties that are competent enough to be in power need to step up. I do think whoever picks up on this will hoover votes up in the next rounds after whatever is going to land for a couple of years. Next period is going to be a mess and hopefully the next election will give us something better to vote for. BIDI.

Rishi Sunak has said he went without "lots of things" as a child, including Sky TV.
In an interview with ITV News, the prime minister, who attended the fee-paying Winchester College, said his parents "wanted to put everything into our education and that was a priority".
