So the Balfour Declaration had sod all to do with it then, eh?
(In 1917, in order to win Jewish support for Britain's First World War effort, the British Balfour Declaration promised the establishment of a Jewish national home in Ottoman-controlled Palestine.)

Interestingly it was during the Second World War, and the end of the war in Europe, that the UK worked against Jews going to Israel.
Anyway, I like what James Marriott wrote in the Times today.
One of the bleakest discoveries of the pandemic was quite how many people imagined themselves to be amateur epidemiologists brimming with compelling insights on lockdowns and vaccine science. The war in Ukraine turned the epidemiologists into experts on military hardware. The war in Gaza has bestowed an unexpected new round of degrees in Middle Eastern history.Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!Comment

It's really simple: Palestine is a geographic area.
Palestinian Jews
Palestinian Muslims
Palestinian Christians
Palestinian Bedouins
Palestinian Bhai
They all lived there until 1948 and the name changed.
Then Palestinian Arab somehow became the only term associated with the place.Comment

Ghazi Hamad of the Hamas political bureau said in an October 24, 2023 show on LBC TV (Lebanon) that Hamas is prepared to repeat the October 7 “Al-Aqsa Flood” Operation time and again until Israel is annihilated. He added that Palestinians are willing to pay the price and that they are “proud to sacrifice martyrs.” Hamad said that Palestinians are the victims of the occupation, therefore no one should blame them for the events of October 7 or anything else, adding: “Everything we do is justified.”

Direct from their spokesperson. Israel is in a fight for its survival.
A well placed missile from Israel, and both the Palestinians and Israelis will gain a substantial boost to their survival.Comment
